This course has taught me so much about animals as a whole, from the evolutionary history of them to the habitats they live in. My first impression of this course was I thought it was going to be an “easy A” and I float right through. As time moved on I became more intrigued to learn about the different ways of how animals are related or have similar ancestry. In essence, this class has made me look at many different types of ways to retain information and use it to my advantage.
This course has taught me so much about animals as a whole, from the evolutionary history of them to the habitats they live in. My first impression of this course was I thought it was going to be an “easy A” and I float right through. But as I have been completing assignments and presenting in front of the class I soon realized that was not the case. I have been brought out of my comfort for the first time in my college career. I have had many oral presentations within this class, and I can say that with each presentation I have improved tremendously. In the beginning I would be nervous, you could a tremble in my voice as I would talk. As the semester moved on, I gradually became better a little at a time, my voice wasn’t shaky, I stopped looking at the slides and started preparing note cards, and I even began to use hand motions to get my points across to the audience. This course has shown me that if I continue to work and practice on things that I am lacking in, I will be able to concur any fear that I have.
