In this course I was able to learn about cancer in every aspect of life. I gained knowledge of how various genetic and molecular changes could occur in normal cells that leads them to undergo a transformation and become malignant cancer cells. These modifications include unregulated cell proliferation or division, evasion of cell death, and metastasis.  This class also taught me the main factors that contribute to a cancer developing as well as various ways to prevent and currently available therapeutics.
